The scrapbook focuses on the New York Yankees of 1950 and 1951. Particular focus is paid to Yankee notables of the past and present. Babe Ruth is the first notable of focus, drawing attention to comparisons between Cobb and himself. The book then turns to Joe DiMaggio and the prospect of Mantle as his replacement in center field. Articles then focus on Phil Rizzuto, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Billy Martin, Allie Reynolds, Bobby Brown and Johnny Sain. Article of note are Berra and Stan Musial as attendants at Joe Garagiola's wedding, Yankee Bat boy- Joe Carrieri, the 1950 World Series vs. the Phillies (i.e. "The Wiz Kids"), Bobby Brown leaving his position at the hospital, Mantle being sent down to Kansas City, the 1951 World Series vs. the Giants (referred to as "The Row Boat Series") and Mantle's fall in the outfield in 1951. The scrapbook is comprised mostly of black and white articles from "The Sporting News"; however, there are some magazine articles as well as color magazine photographs, such as a cover of "Look" magazine with Rizzuto and his wife, Carmen.
